Buildings in a one block radius of Richmond and Prince Edward Streets were evacuated because of a natural gas leak.
Acting Platoon Chief Kevin Comeau says construction crews, while they were digging, ruptured a two inch natural gas line and people were not allowed back in their homes for a while until the gas line was shut off by Enbridge Gas and the buildings checked to confirm there was no danger.
