The bomb disposal unit from CFB Gagetown being called in after a 12-year-old found an old grenade at Mispec Beach on the east side of Saint John.
Sergeant Chuck Elgee of the Saint John Police Force tells us the boy took the grenade home to play with and his grandfather called police when he noticed what it was.
Sgt. Elgee says the grenade was probably there since WWII.
