RCMP Looking For Illegal ATV’ers

The Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP is looking for your help to identify two ATV drivers and one passenger. On June 10, 2014, the suspects were photographed driving illegally on Shannon Road, a public roadway in Grand Bay-Westfield.

One ATV is yellow with a lifted suspension, also yellow. It is a sport model ATV with Bearclaw tires. The driver is believed to be a man and the passenger a woman. The driver is wearing a blue sweatshirt or jacket. The passenger is wearing a yellow and black, full face helmet.

The other ATV is a regular model, dark in colour. The driver is believed to be a man. He is wearing a red and white helmet.

The RCMP is reminding the public that it is illegal to drive an ATV on a public roadway except to cross. The fine, under the New Brunswick Motor Vehicle Act, for driving and ATV on a public roadway is $292.50.

Anyone with information on the identity of those pictured above is asked to call the Grand Bay-Westfield detachment at 506-757-1020 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers either online at www.crimenb.ca or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
