Rothesay Rail Committee Continues To Pick Up Steam

The one-year anniversary of the disastrous train derailment in Lac Megantic has come and gone but the effects of that deadly event still linger on in communities all across Canada.

Evidence of that can be see in the town of Rothesay, which has a rail line running through the community. An ad-hoc rail safety committee has just released their interim report and Deputy Mayor Nancy Grant who chairs the committee explains they’ve forged a positive relationship with CN since forming.

Grant says they’re pleased to see that CN Rail rebuilding the Sussex Branch line which runs from Sussex to Saint John.
