A weekend fire in Petitcodiac at 8 Kay Street has left two people homeless, fire damage to a business, and four upstairs apartments.
Crews were initially called for a vehicle on fire in a driveway but the flames spread quickly to the three-storey wooden building.
One man ndeed emergency purchases of clothing and food. He’s staying with relatives or friends, as is another woman from a second apartment. There were no injuries. The MacPherson and Stewart Hardware store will also be closed for cleanup and repairs.
