Gagetown Hosting Hundreds Of Canadian And American Soldiers For Exercise Strident Tracer 2016

The 5th Canadian Division Support Base in Gagetown is hosting a large scale training exercise all week.

Exercise Strident Tracer 2016 is a leadership opportunity for hundreds of army reservists to improve their individual and collective skills.

5th Canadian Division Commander Brigadier-General Carl Turenne says this all-arms exercise brings togeter soldiers from all the Atlantic Provinces in a challenging live-fire environment.

Canadian soldiers are also working closely with their American counterparts from the Army, and National Guard.

Training includes day and night live fire activites, field and battle craft, and combined arms teamwork.
