The skies will be a busy place over Sussex over the next two days.
The 31st annual Atlantic International Balloon Fiesta will official kick off at around 5 tonight.
Local dignitaries will be on hand and they will have cake and a ribbon burning ceremony.
Tens of thousands of visitors attend each year.
President Debbie Harris says it’s hard to miss, “Just head for the area where the balloons are lifting off. Look for the 8th Hussars Arena, and that will bring you right to launch site. There’s parking all around it. A lot of our local non profit organizations have parking available for donation.”
This fiesta has more than just hot air balloons to offer…there are attractions for everyone, “Sunday, we have our classic car and antique show, amusement rides, craft fair, free entertainment for the children and live entertainment at the bandstand all weekend long, “Harris notes.”
There are 29 hot air balloons this year, including Tweety Bird and Sylvester.
