9 Soldiers Released From Hospital After Training Accident At CFB Gagetown

Nine soldiers in CFB Gagetown were injured this morning after their light armoured vehicle hit an embankment during a routine training exercise.

Public Affairs Officer Captain Evelyn Lemire says an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.

Lemire says five members were treated with minor injuries at the base and four were transported to Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton for serious injuries.

She says all nine soldiers are members of the Second Battalion and have since been released from the hospital.
