Since he moved to Saint John, comedian James Mullinger has been helping raise money for KV Outreach through various stand up shows.
Mullinger says he started doing the shows to raise money, but also does it to bring more awareness to the issue of domestic violence.
Mullinger says KV Outreach works around the clock to do amazing things like taking women and their children out of difficult and violent situations.
He calls domestic violence “the one issue that’s never staring you in the face”, and says the people at KV Outreach are “real life heroes”.
His next stand up show in support of KV Outreach will be held on December 6th, which is National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
The show will be held at Kennebecasis Valley High School.
Mullinger was nominated as a wellness champion last week for the work he’s done with KV Outreach over the past couple of years.
