The focus in the first degree murder and arson trial of 19-year old Devin Morningstar is shifting to the fire set at 96 Sumac Street.
Crown Counsel Marc Savoie called Division Chief of Fire Prevention Charles LeBlanc of the Moncton Fire Department to the stand late yesterday afternoon.

LeBlanc testified about the damage done to the building when he arrived shortly after 4 in the morning on December 17th.
The kitchen had suffered heavy smoke damage but there was no actual fire, according to LeBlanc.
In contrast, he reported the paint on the living room walls and ceiling bubbled from the heat of the fire started with a boxspring laid over the body of Baylee Wylie.
LeBlanc says he also found two more fires, one at the top of the stairs, and a second one underneath two mattresses in an upstairs bedroom.
The trial continues this morning at 9:30.
