The annual Veteran’s lunch at Sobey’s in Rothesay garnering a big response including 55 vets from the Second world war.
Over 100 attended the event which has been going strong for over 20 years now.
Mildred Gregory is a veteran who served with army and the navy and she thinks it’s terrific that events like this are held.
She tells us it’s one of the few times that people can sit down in a relaxed atmosphere.
Gregory notes a lot of the mainstays have passed away or can’t come anymore but she applaud Sobey’s for hosting the event.
