Longtime Saint John Broadcaster Passes Away

A Saint John broadcaster, who had an imposing influence on radio in the city for more than 3 decades, has passed away.

Mark Lee died Saturday night after suffering a heart attack at his apartment one week after his 68th birthday. He had been in failing health for some time.

Lee spent more than 4 decades at Fundy Broadcasting and then Maritime Broadcasting before winding up his career at Saint John Radio hosting a talk show. He had an industry wide reputation for successful radio programming

Lee also was a concert promoter for several years in partnership with Donald K Donald and Jack Livingston.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
