It’s a huge feather in the cap for the organizers and volunteers at last August’s Canada 55+ Games in Greater Saint John.
The Canadian Sports Tourism Alliance annual PRESTIGE awards have been announced. It stands for Program Recognizing Exceptional Sport Tourism Initiatives, Games and Events.
The event took the Sports Event of the Year Award for a budget of under one million dollars.
Hosted by Saint John and Quispamsis, the Canada 55 plus games brought 2300 participants to the region over the age of 55 to compete in events and have some fun as well.
