If you work for minimum wage, you are making a little more money as of Monday.
Minimum wage has increased to $11.50 an hour and the rate is indexed to the province’s consumer price index and rounded to the nearest five cents.

Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Trevor Holder says linking the minimum wage to the consumer price index will protect the purchasing power of minimum-wage earners and allow provincial employers to better prepare themselves for increases when they occur.
The consumer price index for New Brunswick grew by 2.13 per cent in 2018.
Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador and Yukon also link the minimum wage to the consumer price index.
