Three Saint John Firefighters Recognized For Bravery With Award

Three Saint John firefighters will be receiving the Award of Courage from the New Brunswick Association of Fire Chiefs in May.

Captain Karl Conrad, along with senior firefighters Scott Goguan and Trevor Price, rescued a man from a fire on Waterloo Street in February.

Fire Chief Kevin Clifford said the man injured in the fire fought “a long and courageous battle” after suffering from burn wounds and smoke inhalation.

The awards ceremony to recognize the firefighters’ dedication and courage takes place May 27 in Fredericton.
