One Less Candidate In N.B. Liberal Leadership Race

A new leader for the New Brunswick Liberal party will be chosen in June, but the race is now down a candidate.

On Monday, René Ephestion posted on his Facebook that he is no longer a candidate.

He says in the last five months, he has had the chance to meet some great people and he also wished good luck to Kevin Vickers, who announced on March 15 his desire to run for the leadership.

The deadline to submit an application was March 29.

The new leader is slated to be chosen in Saint John on June 21 and 22.

The interim leader for the party is Denis Landry.
