Teaching Kids Money Lessons

You can’t speak to your kids about money soon enough or too much.

The third Wednesday in April is designated Talk to Your Kids About Money Day.

Erin King of the Financial and Consumer Services Commission tells us parents, grandparents and teachers are encouraged to start to get these conversations about budgeting and saving.

“You can keep them going all through their life. It gives kids the confidence and the competence to make financial decisions later on. Money lessons are life lessons,” King said.

The FCNB offers free resources on their website to help people start these financial conversations with kids.
