Nursing Home Workers Remain In Limbo

New Brunswick’s nursing home workers await a decision by the Court of Appeal which will determine whether or not they’re able to strike.

An appeal was launched by the provincial government after a Court of Queen’s Bench judge ruled in favour of the right to strike.

Judges in the Court of Appeal reserved their decision on Wednesday but there’s no word on when they will make a final ruling.

Nursing home workers voted in early March to strike, but a court order made it illegal for them to do so.

They’ve been without a contract for more than two years.
