It is déjà vu for many people living along the Saint John and Kennebecasis rivers.
Residents along Gondola Point Road in Quispamsis are among those bracing for the rising floodwaters.
Joe Boyce spent the day Wednesday moving things from his home as the Kennebecasis River inched closer to his patio door.
Boyce spent about $14,000 to repair damage after some water came into his home in 2018.
“Our problem is it also took the insulation under the house, did the electricity, it did the side of the house,” said Boyce. “It was was wobbling the floor and it did a little bit with the foundation.”

Even though this year could be worse, Boyce is taking the situation in stride and trying not to worry himself.
Boyce said he is in a better situation than many of his nearby neighbours.
“I live in a much simpler place, more simplistic … houses next to me have basements, and they have more problems because their basements flood,” he said.
Boyce said he is glad to see Canadian Armed Forces members on the ground this year helping to place sandbags around people’s homes.
