More Roads Reopen As Floodwaters Fall

More roads in Saint John have reopened after this year’s spring flooding.

The city says Westfield Road near Grenville Lane has reopened to two lanes of traffic.

Westfield Road is also open to one lane of traffic at Gault Road.

Several roads remain closed in the city, including Lawrence Long Road near the end, Dominion Park Road at Tippett Drive and Green Head Road, By Road #7 near the end, Beach Road, Bravo Landing and Farry Cove Lane near the end.

Outside the city, about a dozen roads are still closed due to flooding or washouts.

The Belleisle Bay and Peninsula Princess ferries are also not operating. The Evandale ferry returned to service early Friday afternoon.
