Busy Summer Construction Season Underway

It’s necessary but we don’t always like it.

Construction season is in full effect in the region.

A major infrastructure project in Uptown Saint John has created some traffic headaches for drivers at the bottom of King and Prince William streets.

A series of tall pylons steer drivers away from very large holes.

The work will expand to include Chipman Hill with the entire project scheduled to be completed in late September.

Infrastructure work on Queen Square North is expected to last until the end of July.

Other projects are underway on Metcalf Street, Elliot Row, Ellerdale Street and on the Viaduct.

In Quispamsis, work on the watermain system starts today on the Hampton Road between Old Coach Road and Pinewood Avenue.

Drivers should expect delays for the next two months.
