Season Extended At Mount Carleton Provincial Park

The Higgs government has announced the season will be extended at Mount Carleton Provincial Park this year.

The pilot project will see the park remain open for an additional three weeks in the fall to meet the demand during the shoulder season.

Tourism minister Robert Gauvin says the extension will give visitors a chance to explore the park until Thanksgiving weekend when the fall colours are usually at their peak.

In addition to camping and hiking, Mount Carleton is the highest peak in the Maritimes.

Visitors can book their campsites and cabins for the Sept. 23 to Oct. 14 season at https://parcsnbparks.ca
