UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Ends

UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm watch which was in effect for parts of New Brunswick has ended.


Parts of New Brunswick could be in for some wild weather throughout the evening.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for parts of southern New Brunswick, including:

  • Fredericton and Southern York County
  • Grand Lake and Queens County
  • Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
  • Oromocto and Sunbury County
  • Sussex – Kennebecasis Valley and Kings County

“A cold front will continue to sweep through southern New Brunswick this evening,” said Environment Canada.

It said thunderstorms may become severe with strong wind gusts, small hail, and locally heavy downpours.
