A man has been taken to hospital in serious condition after an alleged assault in the uptown.
Saint John police were called to an area near Prince Edward Square Mall around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police were told a man was being assaulted by several others and there may have been a weapon involved.
No word on what type of weapon may have been used or if any arrests have been made.
The Saint John Police Force major crime unit is investigating.
