Man Dies In Crash Near Sussex

Police say a 35-year-old man from Moncton has died after his car left the road near Sussex.

Mounties say they were called to the scene on Route 880 in Apohaqui just after 6 p.m. Sunday.

“The crash is believed to have occurred when the man’s vehicle went onto the shoulder of the road, then veered across the centre line and crashed into the ditch on the other side of the road,” said the RCMP in a release Monday afternoon.

Police said the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, died from his injuries at the Sussex Health Centre.

The RCMP are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
