Saint John firefighters battled a structure fire Wednesday night in the north end.
It was called in around 8:30 p.m. at 15 Howard Court.
Upon arrival, crews found a back staircase on fire and evacuated units 15 through 21 in the four-storey building as a precaution.
There were no injuries reported.
Only two people were displaced because of the blaze, which is under investigation by the fire marshal’s office and Saint John police.
