Erin Leaves Behind A Lot Of Water

Post-tropical depression Erin has moved out of the region, but not before bringing quite a bit of rain.

Environment Canada says the Saint John area received about 44 millimetres of rain by the time it came to an end.

Moncton reported 50 millimetres of rain while Fredericton picked up around 56 millimetres.

The heaviest rain fell in Nova Scotia, where some communities picked up more than 150 millimetres.

Officials say several weather stations reported rainfall rates in excess of 30 millimetres per hour at the peak.
