Weapons Complaint Was False: Police

Saint John police say a weapons complaint at an east side apartment building Saturday night turned out to be false.

Sgt. Ramsey Hunt says they were told a man had entered the building on Hickey Road with a handgun in his waistband.

Hunt says an anonymous male called in the report from a disconnected cell phone around 7:20 p.m.

He says officers checked the building and reviewed security footage but found no one had gone in the building except police.
