Fire Destroys Abandoned Mobile Home

A weekend fire has destroyed an abandoned mobile home southwest of Saint John.

The Musquash Fire Department was called to the scene in Little Lepreau around 12:10 p.m. Sunday.

Lt. Rick Else said the home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene.

“Musquash Fire quickly brought the fully involved structure under control and extinguished the fire preventing it from spreading to neighbouring dwellings and wooded areas,” said Else in a news release Monday.

Three fire trucks and a rescue vehicle responded to the scene. The RCMP and Ambulance New Brunswick were also on scene.

There are no reports of any injuries.
