Boys Rescued From Partridge Island

Four 11-year-old boys are back at home after being rescued from Partridge Island in Saint John.

Sgt. Greg Oram with the Saint John Police Force said they received a 911 call shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Oram said one of the boys had cut their hand pretty badly in one of the old bunkers.

Police and fire were dispatched to the scene along with a Canadian Coast Guard boat, he said.

Oram said the boys were taken back to the Coast Guard base and treated by paramedics.
