Wanted Parolee Arrested In N.S.

A 31-year-old man who has been at large on a federal parole warrant for four months has been arrested.

RCMP say Morgan MacDonald was found hiding in a vacant apartment in Truro, N.S., on Monday.

A warrant was issued for MacDonald in May after he was released from the Atlantic Institution in Renous and did not show up at the Parrtown Community Correctional Centre in Saint John.

He was serving a sentence of more than four years for robbery, criminal harassment, and carrying a concealed weapon.

MacDonald is charged with being unlawfully at large. He appeared in Truro provincial court Tuesday and was then turned over to Correctional Service Canada.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
