Man Wanted For Robbery Arrested

Saint John police say a man wanted in connection with a robbery last weekend in the south end has been arrested.

Sgt. Ron Cooper said police received a tip around 9:30 p.m. Friday that the man was at a bar on Union Street.

Cooper said a 47-year-old man was located in the bar and arrested for a robbery on Princess Street on Oct. 5. Police did not provide any details about the robbery.

The man was also wanted for three fail-to-attend warrants and two violations of release conditions, he said.

Cooper said the accused is being held for a court appearance next week.
