A Grand Bay-Westfield man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.
Robert Whiting has also been added to the National Sex Offender Registry for 20 years and will have to submit a DNA sample.
The 65-year-old man was arrested on August 7 after police executed a search warrant at a home in Grand Bay-Westfield.
Whiting was handed his sentence, minus time already served, during a court appearance Tuesday.
He will be under several conditions once he is released from jail, including not being near anyone under 16.
