A peaceful end to a standoff overnight with one person arrested.
Saint John police say it began at 11 p.m. Sunday with reports of a man at a home on Eglinton Court armed with weapons and uttering threats.
Several roads in the area were blocked off as a precaution.
A number of people from the home had to be evacuated, but no one was injured.
Just before 1 a.m. Monday, the man surrendered to the police tactical unit without incident.
No word on charges or a court date at this time.
The Major Crime Unit is investigating.
