Two People Facing Charges In Man’s Death

Police say two men are facing charges in the weekend death of a man in Saint John.

Jim Hennessy, a spokesperson for the Saint John Police Force, said the two men, aged 22 and 23, are expected to appear in court Tuesday morning.

Hennessy said the men will answer to “criminal charges” but did not provide any other details.

Officers found a man unconscious at the intersection of Waterloo and Union streets just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

The 59-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate.
