Two Dead In Fiery Shediac Crash

Police are investigating after a crash in Shediac claimed two lives.

Just after 10:30 Thursday morning, Shediac RCMP responded to a call of a head-on collision on Highway 15.

Police believe the westbound car crossed the center line and collided with the eastbound SUV.

The car caught on fire as a result of the collision. A man, the only person in the car, died at the scene.

The 64-year-old woman, a passenger in the SUV, also died at the scene.

The driver, a woman in her seventies, was taken to hospital with what are considered to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Both women are from Ontario.
