New Brunswick is looking at a messy mix of snow, ice pellets, freezing rain and rain for Tuesday.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Saint John, the Kennebecasis Valley and Sussex.
Forecasters say a mix of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain will begin early Tuesday. It will change to rain before noon and then to snow late in the day.
“This combination of messy precipitation could impact travel, especially Tuesday morning and again potentially late Tuesday afternoon,” said the statement.
Forecasters are calling for between two and four centimetres of snow and ice pellets, along with 10 to 20 millimetres of rain.

But other areas of the province are expected to feel more of a punch from this storm system.
Freezing rain warnings are in place for parts of southern New Brunswick, including St. Stephen and Grand Lake.
Those areas could see an extended period of freezing rain and ice pellets between early Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon.

“Snow will develop early Tuesday morning then change quickly to ice pellets then freezing rain later Tuesday morning,” said Environment Canada. “Precipitation will gradually change back to snow from west to east on Tuesday afternoon.”
Total snowfall amounts are expected to range between five and 10 centimetres.
Northern and western regions of the province, including Fredericton, are under a snowfall warning. Forecasters said those areas could see between 15 and 30 centimetres of snow.
