Premiers Team Up On Small Modular Reactors

The premiers of New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan will work together in an effort to fight climate change.

A joint statement about small modular reactors was issued Sunday by Premier Blaine Higgs, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe.

In in, the Premier pledge to work together to explore new, cutting-edge technology in nuclear power generation to provide carbon-free, affordable, reliable, and safe energy.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed with a commitment to collaborate on the development and deployment of innovative and versatile nuclear reactors, known as small modular reactors.
