Messy Weather Closes School Across The Province

Messy weather has led to another snow day in the region.

A full list of all of the cancellations and closures for today can also be found on our website.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Darin Borgel says there will be a bit of everything weatherwise today, “We will have mixed wintry weather, depending on where you are. Northern New Brunswick, expects a fair bit of snow today. The southern areas, especially Saint John and Moncton are going to see things switch back between snow and ice pellets for most of the morning. There could be a continuation, of freezing rain and freezing drizzle as well, making things slick for most of the morning.”

He says this is going to make for a tricky commute.

Freezing rain warnings are in effect for most of Southern New Brunswick.

“For the afternoon commute, it could go back to a little bit of snow, and temperatures going right back below zero again. So it could be tricky again but for different reasons,” Borgel says.
