High Winds Leave Thousands Without Power

A major power outage overnight affected all of the south-central peninsula and lower west side of Saint John early Tuesday.

Power was restored in the south-central peninsula around 5:15 a.m. Most customers on the lower west side had their power back shortly after 9:30 a.m.

NB Power is dealing with outages affecting 11,000 customers, including more than 6,300 in Kings and Queens counties and 3,900 in the Kennebecasis Valley/Fundy region. Restoration times vary throughout the morning.
