St. George Mayor Resigns

The mayor of St. George says she has reached her “breaking point” and is resigning from her job.

Crystal Cook made the announcement in a lengthy Facebook post this week.

Cook says her decision follows a private meeting council had last week to discuss her.

She also claims some council members called the Union of Municipalities of New Brunswick to get info on her competency and to see if they could overthrow her.

Cook announced she was taking a leave of absence in October to recover from her second stroke since January.
