New Year’s Eve was a busy night for members of the Saint John Police Force.
Officers conducted vehicle checkpoints throughout the city beginning early New Year’s Eve and into the early morning hours of New Year’s Day.
Spokesperson Jim Hennessy said one person was arrested for impaired driving.
Hennessy said officers also issued 14 violations under the province’s Motor Vehicle Act, though he did not say what those violations were for.
