City Reminds Drivers Of Parking Ban Protocol

As we get into the thick of winter, the city is reminding drivers about winter parking ban rules.

If a ban is called in the north, east and west parts of the city, you must find alternate off-street parking.

A separate ban could also be called on the south/central peninsula. When that happens, six off-street lots will be opened for overnight parking.

The Mecklenburg and Wentworth street lot is no longer a designated parking ban lot.

Parking bans will be communicated through social media. Should a ban be declared, updates will be issued by 3:45 p.m. the day of.

You can also call the city’s parking ban information line at 658-4040 or sign up to receive email notifications.
