Grocery Store Food Drive Collects Record Amount In N.B.

The 10th annual holiday Loblaw food drive brought in a record amount in December.

More than 47,000 pounds of food and $117,000 in money was collected at Loblaw-affiliated grocery stores, including Atlantic Superstore.

Food banks say the donations help keep their shelves stocked during the winter months, which is a critical time of year.

Local donations will help support the Saint John East Food Bank, North End Food Bank, West Side Food Bank and Kennebecasis Valley Food Bank.
