SPCA Investigates Alleged Abuse Of Bearded Dragon

An investigation has been launched into an alleged case of animal abuse in the Saint John area.

Video posted on social media Sunday shows a group of young people pouring what looks like alcoholic beverages on a reptile.

The video also appears to show the animal being fed some of the beverages.

In a Facebook post late Monday, the New Brunswick SPCA confirmed it is investigating an incident involving a bearded dragon.

The SPCA said it has taken possession of the animal and asked anyone with first-hand knowledge of the incident to contact them.
