N.B. Couple Now ‘Set For Life’

An unexplainable urge to buy scratch and win tickets has a New Brunswick couple Set for Life.

Emery Deleavey and Lucie Thibeault of Anfield, near Grand Falls, had already made their regular lotto purchases during a recent trip to the grocery store.

They were about to head home when Lucie decided to buy two more tickets, one of them a Set for Life.

They had to look at the ticket several times before it sunk in that they had won.

The couple took the lump sum payment of $675,000.

They have no plans for their winnings just yet, only to help their grandchildren out using the prize money.
