N.B. Athletes Going For Gold In Ontario

Over 1500 hundred athletes and their coaches from across the country have gathered in Thunder Bay, Ontario for the 2020 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games.

Ray Leblanc is there with New Brunswick’s curling team. He has been involved with Special Olympics for around 22 years, and has been a curling Coach for around 10 years.

34 New Brunswick athletes are looking for the gold, in sports including curling, figures skating, bowling and floor hockey.

Leblanc says, “These athletes work hard for four years, with only one thing in mind, to make it all the way to the top.”

Opening ceremonies were held last night. The Games will run until February 29th.
