Several Companies Suspend Use Of Reusable Cups Due To COVID-19

Tim Hortons has temporarily stopped accepting reusable cups due to fears from COVID-19.

Craig O’Neil, president of Corey Craig Group, says they are taking the proactive step because the safety of their team members and customers is paramount.

This is in effect at Tim Hortons stores across the country.

Tim Hortons had planned to give away reusable cups as a part of the Roll Up The Rim contest, but that has been postponed. The annual contest returns March 11.

Starbucks and Second Cup are also being proactive and taking the same precautions.

All three companies will still be offering the customer discount for reusable cups, which ranges between 10 and 20 cents.
