Police say two people were found dead after a house fire east of Fredericton on Saturday morning.
RCMP said they were called to a home on Route 10 in Upper Salmon Creek, near Chipman, shortly after 8 a.m.
Staff Sgt. André Pepin said two bodies were found inside the home after the fire was extinguished.
Pepin said they are still working to confirm the identities of the individuals and their cause of death.
The cause of the fire also remains under investigation, he said.
