It is for anyone who needs to apply for EI sickness benefits because they cannot work due to self-isolation.
The one-week waiting period has been waived for those individuals. The number is 1-833-381-2725.
Anyone who has been laid off because of the pandemic and is looking to start a claim for regular EI benefits can call 1-800-206-7218.
